Your Squad's Spring Mission? Some Fitness, Some Fun, And A Lot of Green Beer At The End!
Your Weekly Friend Group Idea of The Week Is Here!
We Are Switching It Up This Friday And Giving You The Idea To Start… Training?
Happy Friday everyone! Glad to finally see the weather here taking a turn for the warmer (on more days than usual at least), and what better way to start taking advantage of it than by getting ready for your next athletic endeavor!
That’s right, after hunkering in for the past few months on your couch this winter, it’s time to rally your friends together and take on a physical challenge! Let’s get into it!
From The Couch To The Finish Line In One Month 🏃♂️💨
Are you and your friends looking for a fresh and exhilarating challenge that combines fitness, fun, and a dash of festive spirit? Say no more! We’ve got just the thing that’s bound to get your hearts racing and spirits soaring.
Welcome to the ultimate group fitness goal: training together for the next month to get ready for an upcoming 5K! And if you’re wondering which one to sign up for, might we suggest The St. Paddy’s Day 5K Dash & Bash coming up?
The first 1,000 people to register get a free beer at the end and we think you’ll definitely have earned it (even if you decide to walk it in the end).
Here’s What We’re Thinking If You Want To Take This Seriously 👇
Set a Schedule: Commit to weekly training sessions together. Mix it up with runs, brisk walks, and even some cross-training to keep things interesting. You don’t have to go for a run every day, but even just going out and seeing daylight with your friends a couple of times a week will make a big difference here.
Track Progress: Keep each other motivated by tracking your progress. Celebrate improvements, no matter how small, and support each other through the tough days. Even if it’s something as simple as a step counter app like “StepUp” to help encourage some friendly competition can help you keep your motivation up!
Add a Dash of Competition: Speaking of competition, you can hold a couple of weekly competitions to see who can run the fastest 5K leading up to the day of the race and you can each bet a beer (or three) to buy for the winner at the end!
The Big Day
On the day of the race, why not go all out and see if any of the training you’ve done in this short period of time has paid off? Were you able to run it faster than you thought you could? Did you decide to just walk it in the end? We won’t judge if you did! All that really matters is getting out and doing something (before it starts getting way too hot for any sane person to run a 5K) with your friends and family!
Post-Race Celebration
What better way to celebrate your achievement than with a post-race brunch? Gather your team for some well-deserved mimosas, and pancakes. It’s a perfect moment to relish your collective accomplishment and already start dreaming about your next adventure.
So, are you and your friends ready to lace up, get fit, and run/walk your way through a 5K? Embrace the challenge and enjoy the process!
Let the training begin,
